Housing and Dining

Facilitate Off-Campus Housing

If many students live off-campus in future semesters, work with the COVID-19 Equity Committee to create a network that assists students in finding off-campus housing arrangements.

Support Co-ops

As campus and the size of the student body grow, advocate for reserving or converting space to accommodate co-ops.

Keep Improving Room Draw

Institutionalize the Ad Hoc Housing Committee's work from this year on making improvements to room draw and answering student questions.

Protect Kitchen Space for Independent Students

Advocate for opt-in kitchen use with a social use contract in upperclass housing to ensure that kitchens are well-kept and consistently available for independent students.

Create Community Dining Options

Work with Dining Services to integrate community (off-campus) dining options into meal plans in order to provide more variety in and accessibility of dining choices (particularly for FLI students) and support local businesses.

Ensure Transparency in Dining Options

Create a guide to the financial costs of different dining options (dining hall, eating club, co-op, independent) so that students can make informed decisions about their upperclass dining choices.
